Skype 4.3 for Linux has been released today with and awesome updates.

The Skype 4.3 for linux version dropped support for direct Alsa support all you need is to install PulseAudio 4.0 or greater for the best calling experience.
Skype for Linux Requirements:
- 1 GHz processor or faster.
- 256 MB RAM.
- 100 MB free disk space on your hard drive.
- Video card driver with Xv support.
- Either a built-in or external microphone is required for voice calls.
- An internet connection – broadband is best (GPRS is not supported for voice calls).
- Qt 4.7
- D-Bus 1.0.0
- PulseAudio 1.0 (4.0 recommended)
- BlueZ 4.0.0 (optional)

For Linux user:
1. Download and install Skype for Ubuntu 10.04 32-bit.
Unpack the downloaded Skype package under your home directory.
Using the terminal, run following command:
sudo apt-get install lib32stdc++6 lib32asound2 ia32-libs libc6-i386 lib32gcc1
Download the Debian file:
http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/q/qt4-x11/libphonon4_4.6.2-0ubuntu5.6_i386.deb
Unpack the following library into the Skype folder (data.tar.lzma)
./usr/lib/libphonon.so.4 ./usr/lib/libphonon.so.4.4 ./usr/lib/libphonon.so.4.4.0
2. For Fedora
Choose your version of Fedora and follow the instructions to install Skype. Fedora Skype available in 32bit.
Open terminal and run the following command:
sudo yum -y install libXv.i686 libXScrnSaver.i686 qt.i686 qt-x11.i686 pulseaudio-libs.i686 pulseaudio-libs-glib2.i686 alsa-plugins-pulseaudio.i686 qtwebkit.i686
