  • How To Install Ubuntu Restricted Extras In Ubuntu 11.04/11.10

    There are some restricted extras in ubuntu which is not installed by default, In this tutorials i will discuss how to install Ubuntu restricted extras in Ubuntu 11.04/11.10.
    To install Restricted Extras open Terminal.
    1. First open a terminal (ctrl_+lt+t)and issue the following command:

    sudo apt-get update

    [singlepic id=42 w=320 h=240 mode=watermark float=left]
     
     
     
     
     
    2. Next install ubuntu restricted extras with the following command:

    sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras

    3. When prompted, read the following that appeared on the terminal and wait until the installation is finish.
    Note: Most of the restricted extras are mp3 playback and decoding, java, fonts, video codec, dvd playback and support for various formats.
