In this article we will guide you how to install Webmin on <em>CentOS or RHEL 7<\/em>.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n1. To install <em><strong>Webmin<\/strong><\/em> on <em><strong>CentOS<\/strong><\/em>, login to your server via SSH and create a repo for webmin.<br \/>\nCreate a new file <em><strong>webmin.repo<\/strong><\/em> in <strong>\/etc\/yum.repo.d\/<\/strong><\/p>\n<pre class=\"\">nano \/etc\/yum.repos.d\/webmin.repo\n<\/pre>\n<p>and paste the following line.<\/p>\n<pre class=\"\">[Webmin]\nname=Webmin Distribution Neutral\n#baseurl=http:\/\/download.webmin.com\/download\/yum\nmirrorlist=http:\/\/download.webmin.com\/download\/yum\/mirrorlist\nenabled=1\n<\/pre>\n<p>2. Download and install webmin gpg key with the following command.<\/p>\n<pre class=\"\">wget http:\/\/www.webmin.com\/jcameron-key.asc\n<\/pre>\n<p>import the key<\/p>\n<pre class=\"\">rpm --import jcameron-key.asc\n<\/pre>\n<p>3. After importing the key you can now install webmin with the following command.<\/p>\n<pre class=\"\">yum install webmin -y\n<\/pre>\n<p>4. Start the webmin services and make it auto start at system startup.<\/p>\n<pre class=\"\">\/etc\/init.d\/webmin start\nchkconfig webmin on\n<\/pre>\n<p>5.By default <em><strong>Webmin<\/strong><\/em> listens on port number <em><strong>10000<\/strong> <\/em>, for security reason and you need to allow <em><strong>port 10000<\/strong><\/em> in your firewall to access webminn:<\/p>\n<pre class=\"\">iptables -I INPUT -p tcp --dport 10000 -j ACCEPT ;\n<\/pre>\n<pre>\/etc\/init.d\/iptables save\n<\/pre>\n<p>6. Now visit http:\/\/your-ip-address:10000 in\u00a0your browser and you should see the login panel for webmin and it will ask for user and password.<br \/>\n<strong>Note:<\/strong> Use root username and password for admin.
